Lilong will host a festival called "Eetinfam" in March 2023, said Md Raheijuddin Shiekh, advisor of the Festival Committee, on Friday. He also has invited every section of society to come forward and attend the festival.
He said the statement as a part of the major resolutions taken during the meeting of the intellectuals, Clubs, organizations, and CSOs at the office complex of the 16 Assam Rifle. The meeting was chaired by Colonial Aditya Deo and Major Deepak Kataria of the Assam Rifles.
Speaking of the festival, the advisor said that they have named the festival "Eetinfam" to mark the significance of the place where the Imphal River meets the Iril River. He furthered that the very part of Lilong is very fertile and has all the potential to become a major hub in the state. The youths around the place are fit and healthy, and very hospitable added the advisor.
He continued that the people in the region are very hospitable, kind, and good at heart. And the region has every section living together peacefully and harmoniously, including the tribes, the Muslims, the Hindus, etc.
The organizing committee would welcome everybody to the festival with warmth and happiness. He added that the festival would be organized as a means to remove the stigma that everybody has about Lilong.
Festival Lilong will begin anytime soon when a proper and comfortable place is available.
